I was amazed that sugar, when it gets really hot, turns to a caramel-ish substance.
Then, you add butter, milk, vanilla, and sugar, and you are supposed to get real caramels.
I got something that tastes really good, but is not sticky like caramel.
It's kind of more like a cookie bar.
Tastes really good, but I'm looking for that sticky-ness.
Has anyone ever tried this before?
I am pretty sure I know what I did wrong. I think I need to cook it longer. I don't think the sugar dissolved completely.

I make sticky, gooey caramel every year for Christmas. It's a recipe I got from my Grandma. I'll look it up and send it to you!
